The Prologue: The USA and USSR
The cuban missile crisis was an event that happened during the cold war. The cold war was a state in which the USA was trying to spread democracy and the USSR was trying to spread communism.
This map is a great example of the spread of communism and democracy during the cold war. http://www.team7itasca.com/team7/Cold%20War.htm
Personal Definition of: Human rights
I believe human rights are the rights every person should have. Unfortunately like our constitution these rights are constantly pushed to their limits. A human right could be just as simply of being in control of your own safety and life. A human right could also be considered as what I like to call "free life", as in no one should take your life but yourself. I also consider a human right as in a level of power, and that the people have just as much a say as their leader does, and that all life is treasured. I believe a violation of these rights happen many times in the cold war, but to have the potential nuclear power to whipe out the whole world, stood out to me the most.
This drawing kind of shows how the USA (ones who support human rights the most) may be breaking them without other countries knowing by having the potential power to destroy the whole world. http://www.globalresearch.ca/un-report-details-us-human-rights-abuses/5375882
